Abstract
The article describes the findings of a pilot research devoted to the estimation of the efficiency of a therapy with TNF α inhibitors for children with inflammatory bowel diseases. Methods: we carried out the retrospective analysis for a therapy with Infliximab in 15 children with a nonspecific ulcerative colitis and Сrohn's disease. Results: 66% of the children with inflammatory bowel diseases react to the first injection of Infliximab, whereas 13% of the children demonstrate a clinical remission of their diseases. After the third injection, a positive response to the used therapy is shown by 60% of the children with inflammatory bowel diseases, and 33% of the children are diagnosed with a clinical remission. Conclusion: The use of Infliximab allowed the children with a refractory course of nonspecific ulcerative colitis and Сrohn's disease to make their inflammation significantly less active and improve the quality of their life.

Abstract
We studied the efficiency of the organic zinc salts combined with colostrum during 60 days in a group of 74 children with frequent acute respiratory infections. The patients (4–6 years old) were subdivided into 3 groups: children slowly dissolving in mouth the drug lozenges (n = 30), children swallowing one (n = 18) and the children on standard therapy without zinc (control, n = 26). In groups of children with zinc administration, a significant improvement compared with the control was observed: medium scores for the therapy effectiveness were 5,7, 4,7 and 2,7 for the three groups accordingly (p < 0,002 for both groups zinc administration). We have also observed the dependence of the treatmente ffectiveness on the extent of the zinc deficit prior to the clinical trial. Patients with low levels of zinc at the start of the study (activity of alkaline phosphatase 95 IU/L) were characterized by low efficiency of the therapy (2–4 points). At the same time, the treatment of patients with higher initial levels of zinc (activity of apase 95–110 mmol/l at the start of the study) was more successful (5–7 points, OR = 6,0, 95%, CI = 1,0–37,0, p = 0,04). Thus, zinc administration can be used to alleviate symptoms and reduce the duration of the acute respiratory infections.

Abstract
The article presents the examination findings of health status, physical development and motional preparedness of children attending pre-school educational institutions. 80% of the observed children refer to the 2nd health grade and only 19% refer to the 1st health grade. 79% of the observed children had the body weight within the middle values for their respective age; 73% of the observed children had the body length within the middle values for their respective age. Children with excessive body weight and body length over the average values dominate. 57% of pre-school children had the correctly formed longitudinal foot arch. Ion 90% of the cases, the motional preparedness and physical health status were middle or above middle. Health-improving and educational measures conducted in educational institutions promote a better health status and motional skills of pre-school children.

Abstract
The modern approach to the therapy of bronchial asthma among children includes wide application of the inhalant glucocorticosteroids. The application of the spray-based medicines provides for fast admission into the respiratory passages, high local activity, low risk of the systemic side effects. The choice of a specific medicine depends both on the patient’s ability to effectively and correctly use the prescribed medication and a medicine itself. The highest number of hospitalizations and cases of seeking medical emergency advice is recorded among children aged under 4. The only inhalant glucocorticosteroids approved for application among children under 4 is budesonide in a suspension for inhalations.

Abstract
Atopic dermatitis is one of the most widespread children’s diseases, it has a chronic recurrent clinical course, may be often complicated with the secondary infection. This necessitates the choice of a medication to impact all stages of the disease process with a high safety profile. This digest is devoted to activated zinc pyrithione. Overall, currently available data make it possible to state that this agent is one of the most effective and safest products to be used for a local therapy of atopic dermatitis in children.

Abstract
Allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, chronic idiopathic nettle rash, atopic dermatitis have been characterized by a stable growth in the prevalence of the allergic pathology over the last several decades. A similar pathogenesis of allergic diseases makes it possible to regard them as different manifestations of a systemic allergic inflammation. Histamine is one of the main mediators of an allergic inflammation, therefore first-line medications (drug of choice) in the treatment of an allergic pathology, first of all, rhinitis and chronic nettle rash, are second-generation blockers of Н1-receptors. The proposed article discusses the issues connected with the use of antihistamines for children.

Abstract
Remedial treatment of children with chronic inflammatory diseases of nose and paranasal sinuses is urgent as this pathology is very widely spread in the childhood. In the present research, the authors studied an opportunity to perform a comprehensive treatment of children with chronic rhinosinusitis. The application of a phytomedication, physical treatment methods and their combinations showed the anti-inflammatory effect of the complexes, improvement of the morphofunctional status of the nose mucosa epithelial cells. Introduction of a phytomedication into the medical complex contributed to the reduction of rhinosinusitis exacerbations and cases of the acute respiratory infections among the examined patients.
