Abstract
Pneumococcal infection is one of the most widespread reasons for the development of infections of the respiratory passages (otitis, sinusitis) in children. At the same time, it may act as an etiological factor of severe urgent conditions, such as pneumococcal meningitis and pneumococcal pneumonia, especially in children under 2 years old. A reliable method for preventing this infection is specific immunological prophylaxis. The article covers in detail the issue of vaccination in Russia and in other countries. The necessity of vaccination of all infants is demonstrated, as well as the necessity of participation in resolving this issue not only of pediatricians but governmental institutions as well in order to enhance safety and efficiency of vaccination and include this vaccine into the national calendar.

Abstract
Literature data analysis and results of the authors' research of reasons and initiating agents of recurrent infections in children are presented. The data on modern opportunities for specific and nonspecific immunological prophylaxis in sickly children are summarized. The results of prophylactic and therapeutic efficiency of ribosomal immunization in children are presented. The typical prophylactic effect of this treatment in children with recurrent respiratory infections and its preventive use as part of a complex program of preparation of children for attending preschool institutions, is established. At the same time, the risk reduction of development of recurrent respiratory infections in the adaptation and the following periods of children's presence in organized collectives, is observed. High therapeutic efficiency of ribosomal immunization for sickly children is demonstrated.

Abstract
As is know, in the past few years, the incidence of pertussis has increased again. The article reveals the reasons of this phenomenon and the possible solutions for this problem. Besides, comparative analysis of the whole cell vaccine used in this country as within the framework of the national immunizations schedule and modern acellular vaccines is made. Results of multicenter research, convincingly proving the safety and efficiency of acellular pertussis vaccine, are presented.

Abstract
In this article, the author continues dealing with issues of haemophilus influenzae in children. Modern information on the existing vaccines and efficiency of vaccination against this infection, is given. Vaccination of children with different health status deviations, which is significant in modern immunological prophylaxis, is covered in detail.
Key words: hemophilic infection, vaccination, children.

Abstract
The article describes a clinical example of prescribing vitamin-mineral complex to children with atopic dermatitis. It says that using vitamin-mineral complex as part of complex therapy helps to regress indications of sub-normal vitamin balance. Another effect is increased level of vitamins, which indirectly improves trophism and innervation of abnormal skin.

Abstract
Flu in children is characterized by high incidence, often development of complications, long virus extraction. Measures for its prophylaxis and treatment include the usage of vaccines and etiotropic medications, in particular, those of the neuraminidase inhibitor group which are considered to be efficient and safe in children. Oseltamivir is the most widespread drug of this group in the pediatric practice. The objective of this research was the analysis of foreign works devoted to the use of oseltamivir in children from the evidence based medicine viewpoint. as a result, two multicenter double blind placebo controlled trials were found, which included 1029 children other trials devoted to the study of different aspects of this problem. They showed that in children without co-morbidities, oseltamivir evidentially reducesthe duration of disease, duration of fever, cough, rhinitis and the frequency of complications; in case of bronchial asthma, however, these changes are below statistical significance. Oseltamivir shows high tolerability in children, and adverse events seldom occur.
Key words: oseltamivir, neuraminidase inhibitors, children.

Abstract
The study analyzes the effectiveness of combined plant based preparation for complex therapy of in patient children with acute bacterial sinusitis. The main patient group was comprised of 75 patients that received traditional treatment with additional secretolytic therapy, the control group consisted of 83 children (the groups were statistically comparable). According to the research data, prescribing the medication improves treatment efficiency on a statistically valid level: fewer procedures are needed for pus evacuation, and clinical recovery is faster. It should be noted that treatment efficiency is not dependant on which secretolytic form is used — pills or drops.

According to world health organization data, allergic reactions occur more frequently nowadays, with allergic rhinitis, including its perennial form, being the most common allergy among children. Basing on their own research, the authors demonstrate that severe clinical courses of this disease significantly affect cognitive functions and quality of life of children that suffer from this disease. The article features data that demonstrates positive effect of pathogenetic therapy on these factors of life of patients with perennial allergic rhinitis.

Abstract
Chronic otitis media most often develops in preschool children. Depending on the stage of the disease, conservative and surgical treatment methods are developed. The influence of n acetylcys teine on the efficiency of exudative otitis media treatment in children was studied. it was demonstrated that the application of endaural phonophoresis of n acetylcysteine significantly increases the efficiency of treatment.

Abstract
The article describes the history of establishment of vitaminology as a science in Russia. Properties of vitamins and microelements determining the necessity of their presence in the organism and states which develop in case of their deficiency, are described in a transparent and clear form. The main part of the article is devoted to replacement of vitamins and microelements in case of their insufficient content level in the organism. It is the field of medicine where Albert imre szent gyorgyi's words: «capabilities induce the need to use these capabilities…» are especially relevant.
Key words: vitamins, microelements, properties, need, deficiency, treatment, children.

Abstract
As population based studies conducted in Russia showed, deficit of vitamins and microelements is quite widespread among the population, and children are no exclusion. The article demonstrates the functions of these compounds that are essential for the normal operation of the body — their antioxidant and immunomodulatory activities, as well as the consequences of their deficit. Besides, authors explain persuasively the advisability of use of the new combined drug, which includes vitamins, microelements and probiotics, and demonstrated its high efficiency in terms of clinical study.
