MEASURING PARAMETERS OF CHILDREN’S GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The article presents the examination findings of health status, physical development and motional preparedness of children attending pre-school educational institutions. 80% of the observed children refer to the 2nd health grade and only 19% refer to the 1st health grade. 79% of the observed children had the body weight within the middle values for their respective age; 73% of the observed children had the body length within the middle values for their respective age. Children with excessive body weight and body length over the average values dominate. 57% of pre-school children had the correctly formed longitudinal foot arch. Ion 90% of the cases, the motional preparedness and physical health status were middle or above middle. Health-improving and educational measures conducted in educational institutions promote a better health status and motional skills of pre-school children.
