<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The keen researcher’s interest nowadays is focused on the study of potential celiac disease. It is characterized by increased levels of specific autoantibodies to tissue transglutaminase and endomysium and by HLA-DQ2/DQ8 alleles in the genotype with no or minimal changes in small intestine mucous membrane. Patients with potential celiac disease may have various intestinal and extraintestinal symptoms, however the disease can be asymptomatic. Disease pathogenetic mechanisms are not fully understood, and villous atrophy (typical for celiac disease) risks remain unknown. There is no management strategy for such patients. Gluten-free diet efficacy in patients with potential celiac disease, who do not have any clinical symptoms, is also not conclusively established.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>потенциальная целиакия</kwd><kwd>безглютеновая диета</kwd><kwd>атрофия ворсинок</kwd><kwd>дети</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>potential celiac disease</kwd><kwd>gluten-free diet</kwd><kwd>villous atrophy</kwd><kwd>children</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках НИР «Глютенассоциированные заболевания у детей: пути совершенствования диагностики, персонифицированные алгоритмы диспансерного наблюдения», номер государственной регистрации — 125040904988-0</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was performed within the research “Glutenassociated diseases in children: ways to improve diagnosis, personalized algorithms for dispensary observation”, state registration number — 125040904988-0</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">АверкинаН.А.,БарановА.А.,БельмерС.В.идр.«Целиакия-2025»: проект клинических рекомендаций по диагностике и лечению целиакии у детей // Педиатрическая фармакология. — 2025. — Т. 22. — № 4. — С. 495–522. — doi: https://doi.org/10.15690/pf.v22i4.2941</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Averkina NA, Baranov AA, Bel’mer SV, et al. “Celiac Disease-2025”: Project of Clinical Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Celiac Disease in Children.
