Однако, он может возникать при целом ряде заболеваний, разнообразных по своему патогенезу и месту поражения. Несмотря на разнообразие возможных причин, в большинстве случаев в этиологии кашля ключевую роль играют острые респираторные инфекции (ОРИ). Основные направления терапии кашля при ОРИ включают в себя мероприятия по улучшению дренажной функции бронхов, восстановлению мукоцилиарного клиренса, противовоспалительную и, при необходимости, бронхолитическую терапию. Однако, если кашель нарушает самочувствие и состояние больного (непродуктивный, сухой, навязчивый, приводящий к рвоте, возникновению боли в грудной клетке, нарушению сна и аппетита), применяются лекарственные средства, подавляющие кашель. Для этой цели в педиатрической практике успешно применяются комбинированные препараты, в состав которых входит кодеин. Ключевые слова: кашель, комбинированные противокашлевые препараты, дети. </p><p>(Педиатрическая фармакология. – 2010; 7(6):78-80)</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Coughing is the most frequent symptom that accompanies diseases of the bronchopulmonary system. However, it may develop in a number of diseases that vary in its pathogenesis and location. Despite the variety of potential causes, in most cases acute respiratory infections (ARIs) play the key role in the etyology of coughing. Key methods of therapy for coughing in ARIs include efforts to improve the bronchial drainage function, restore mucociliary clearance, antiinflammation and, if necessary, broncholytic therapy. However, if coughing disrupts the well-being and condition of a patient (non-productive, short, compulsive, vomitory, chest pain causing, sleep and appetite disturbing), cough suppressive medications are administered.
